Military Family Support Group (hereafter MFSG), an Arizona based 501c3 Non-Profit, began in January 2003 when Founder Viana Bruce’s son was deployed to Iraq with the Marine Corps. Since then, the group has been meeting on a regular basis. Military Family Support Group welcomes anyone who wishes to support our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world. MFSG sends 150 to 350 care packages each month overseas of much needed supplies to the troops in every branch of the military. The Group also receives reports from the troops when there are shortages of common personal items such as shampoo, socks or even sewing kits. In addition, when a military person is aware of another comrade who does not have family or is not receiving mail, the Group is notified and immediately begins personal communication through letters, e-mail, and care packages. MFSG is dedicated to assisting our nation's troops by providing them with individually packaged care packages as a symbol of the community's gratitude and pride for those serving. Additionally, the organization remains an active participant in a variety of valley community events for our troops and their families.
